Rocky Gorge - Browns Bridge Area

Last night on my way home from work I drove over Rocky Gorge at Browns Bridge.
The reservoir looked beautiful. Flat like a sheet of glass and the water didn't look like chocolate milk. I'm looking forward to my first trip there soon.

I'm going to try the Browns Bridge area and fish up to the 29 bridge. That area looks promising!

i think the trek from browns bridge to the 29 bridge is quite far no? you might be better off starting at scotts cove

It's about the same distance from Scott's cove to 29 as Browns (3.5 miles). The coves around the 29 bridge have some big pike and bass. That area is where the reservoir transitions from being shallow and narrow like a river to deep and open like a lake.

ohh thats good to know. i would def like to go out there sometime with a few of you. havent fished rocky gorge much so learning where the hot spots are would be nice!

Hello everyone. New guy to the forum. I would also love to go out with some of you guys too. I've been launching out of browns bridge pretty regularly once or twice a week. Went out yesterday and the water was still pretty chocolatey. Managed a few bass on a crank.

And perchy thanks for sharing your secrets! Lurked through old posts and you slay the bass at the gorge!
