  • cut grass or go fishing ?

im off today and contemplating what i should do . my yard is a mess because i have been fishing every chance i have time . as my wife was walking out the door for work this morn she said PLEASE CUT THIS GRASS IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP OUT HERE ! . i really had every intention on doing so but now my enthusiasm is beginning to sway . i think a windy day of kayak fishing beats cutting and trimming the yard . im thinking tuckahoe pond and going up the creek or maybe smithville , might even try marshyhope , then theres always wye mills . decisions , decisions . oh but then theres the wrath that will fall upon me at 5:30 when momma gets home .

That's a tough decision, but the fishing had better be damn good to make it worth taking the heat later.

You could always say someone stole your mower.

With this rain we've been getting you can either cut grass today... or make hay tomorrow.

Oh baby, been there...a lot. Consider it an investment. You can go fishing now for a day or you can cut the grass and fish in the future multiple times. If that grass isn't cut by the time she gets home, every day spent on the water here after will be painful :-)

You should probably vacuum too. Women love when they come home and see those vacuum lines in the carpet.

Just go fishing ! And when she gets home and yells at you... Just tell her she'll always be your number one catch , you should be good to go after that

                        Here are what I didn't/did/don't/do:
                        • No 1: Stop talking fishing at a party when she pokes me.
                        • Say, "Hmm.... (5 second pause).. I like the first one because it brings up your beautiful eyes" - Make sure you randomly pick the first, second or the third one.
                        • Cook dinners still.
                        • Did homework with kids.
                        • Took kids to sports games/practices every weekend when they grew up.
                        • Read bed time stories (My sons always remember this).
                        • Still wash her car weekly.
                        • Clean house, do laundry, do dishes.
                        • Dress up appropriately when I am with her.
                        • Make an irv garden that produces $50 worths ayear. This costs $200 + my labor, at least 1 million dollars of fishing time.
                        • Walking dogs.
                          ...
                        • I did/do everything. Though, one thing I don't do... is sending bills - I kept messing up a long time ago even though I tutored Calculas III back then. So now, every saturday, she does bills, and I go fishing not to disturb her.

Sorry for the typos. I am in the middle of cooking dinner.

                        Joe,

Hire a kid in the neighborhood to do it and go fish.

Nice catch. I can feel the pain of that bird nest.
