  • Marsahll Hall 5/23

Planned a impromptu trip to Marshall Hall tomorrow to try some dedicated catfishing. If anyone is still in town and wants to come along, the more the merrier. Hope to be at the ramp right around 7AM

Good luck, I won't be able to make it tomorrow. I liked fishing out of Marshall Hall when we did the meet and greet from there earlier this year. I need to launch from there again sometime.

Yes I missed that, chickened out with the rain forecast, and it has been on my mind since. I have never really went out just for catfish and have been wanting to give it a try. Potomac seems to be the place.

Nice meeting you also. Yes pretty slow day but it did give me a small taste of the catfishing and I think I want more besides it was a beautiful day to be on the water anyway. The one I did get put up quite a fight. I road up to the other ramp you mentioned(Wharf Rd.) and a couple of the numerous shore fisherman had pretty nice stringers going.

Farmington Landing (Wharf Rd) is a good place to launch from to hit the Potomac corner below the lighthouse. You get a nice little paddle to start off with. Get there early and you should be able to catch some nice ones. The guys fishing from the bank there catch them too, but it takes longer. In a week or two that area will be unfishable. Too much vegetation. Still a decent launch site though.
