Looking at Google Earth it looks like the place really is really grassy. Hows is it mid summer still fishable?

Some portions were quite covered in pads. Definitely heavy vegetation. Which I'm sure sticks around.

Another winner on the same level as the written report. Once again really appreciate the details, I have limited knowledge of bass fishing and all the technique and gear tips are a great help.

Thanks DonV! I'm having a blast doing both video and fishing. There is some serious technique that can be learned from videos. One of my favorites is a friend Greg Blanchard....I always recommend his videos. He doesn't talk technique a lot, but I've learned a ton just by watching and imitating him.

I'm headed to lake Redman now for an afternoon fish. And doing a tournament on the Susky tomorrow! Looking forward to fish there for the first time! Just wanna catch something!

All the thanks should be coming from this end. I am really just getting interested in bass fishing especially in cover. Have been to some great areas and just didn't have the right gear set up for fishing it. Very frustrating to think there are fish in there, when I'm fishing the edges and getting skunked. I have rigged up a couple of rods with braid and been doing a lot of video watching and reading. I may have half a chance now and again really appreciate the report.
