Hello everyone,
I recently caught the kayak fishing bug. I've spent the past couple years out in Michigan for college, and now that I graduated, I'm anxious to hit the water. I've been creeping on here for a couple months trying to learn what I can and finally made an account. I just picked up a Wilderness Systems Ride 115X Max Angler from Autumn Sky Outfitters near Bel Air. If anyone is around that area I'd encourage you to check them out. I picked up a Lowrance elite 3x for the kayak, which is very simple to install on the 115x since it has the removable pod. I also built my own cart and I'm currently putting a milk crate system together. I'm located a couple miles from the Conowingo Dam, so I'll usually be fishing above the dam or just above Lapidum. I also picked up Alan's book on fishing the flats on a kayak. I had the yak out last night for a practice run. I battled a wind coming up the Susky river, but the kayak performed well. I'm looking forward to getting some lines wet this week and catch some fish!
