Johanssons Dining House & Brew House has partnered with Coastal Conservation Association Maryland to help conserve Maryland's oyster reefs by instituting the CCA Maryland Central Region Chapter Regions shell recycling program in their Carroll County, MD restaurant to benefit their Living Reef Action Campaign. Johanssons efforts help sustain the growth and propagation of Chesapeake oysters. Every shell Johanssons recycles with CCA Maryland's Central Region Chapter are put back into the estuarine environment, replenishing and enhancing the State’s oyster resource. When eating fresh Hoopers Island Oyster Aquaculture Company oysters at their restaurant, your server will recycle those shells. CCA Maryland invites you to support our chapters efforts towards habitat rehabilitation during Johanssons "Cluster Shuck". We are asking for a $5.00 donation at the door, CCA MD memberships will be available, and Beer specials from Flying Dog Brewery, Full Tilt Brewing , DuClaw Brewing Co. , and Devils Backbone Brewing Company along with numerous giveaways and door prizes.
