  • recommendations for a yak trailer

    I have a PA & an outback.

I am looking for a trailer & think I'd like to stack the yaks on supports instead of side by side. Long term I think I'd like to store them on the trailer as well (I guess upside down).
I am pretty sure I want to avoid 8" tires & so that precludes hobies' trailers.

Any suggestions or recommendations? i'd like to purchase one instead of building one by altering a harbor freight trailer if I can.

    thanks

I have a 2015 Pro Angler 14. I trailer it on a "Loadrite" trailer. Got it at Dave's trailers in Glen Burnie, MD. Good price and tags issued right on site (NO MVA!!!). Got the spare tire and kickstand and it still beat the hobie price.

I've been scouring craigslist myself for a trailer to convert for a PA

For less than $400 you can get an old jet ski trailer and convert, tag and title a nice little trailer with road worthy wheels.

I have the Malone MicroSport trailer and am quite happy with it. They ship it to your house and takes about 3-4 hours to assemble it. I can drive 65-70 mph with no worries.

I have a utility trailer I got at Dave's in Glen Burnie... I bet if you went in there and told them what you're after they could order what you want if they don't have it. Their prices are the best around that I found and it's a quick process to get a trailer on the road with tags.

I've had the yakima trailer for a few years and it is very lightweight and dependable. However, if I were looking for one right now I'd give the Malone trailers a serious look, they have more capacity and a little cheaper.

There's 3 on there now for 300 -450 ......... Jet ski trailers ...... You will have to adapt them. If you want a double decker already built then you will pay a pretty penny.
