Oc md fishing first week August

Il be headed down oc for a week with the fam.can someone help me with what to use to catch flounder bluefish n rockfish down there .rigs bait

This should help you out in the flounder department. I use everything from a Carolina rig to a bucktail jig with a dropper loop.

Schoolies stripers and blues hang around the rt. 50 bridge almost every morning. Nothing huge, but fun. However, if you don't have any experience in heavy current and fishing bridge pilings, I'd steer clear. Its all about your comfort level. Casting 1/4oz-1/2oz. jigs heads with any plastic works well.

Also, do a search in the Maryland portion of the forum for "OC" or Assateague and you'll find plenty of previous reports; some from the time you are planning to visit. These should be useful.

Head into oysterbaytackle, give em a little business and they'll let you know what's up. Check their fishing report as well to kind of get a feel what's hitting where.
