  • Duct Seal Question

does duct seal (electricians putty) melt in heat? i have had my transducer gooped down since 2008 and have had no problems thus far, but, it that putty doesnt melt in heat, i was thinking about that it may be a good idea to carry a blob in my bag in case the goop ever does fail...seems like it could be a quick fix at the launch if needed.

Its definitely worth keeping in your ditch bag in case you have an issue. I went with the ductwell on my Revo out of simplicity. Now just need to get some time to fish!

I have had a pack of that in my garage since winter, and it looks like it is still in the same shape as it was when I got it. So it has held up during those baking hot days we had last month.

I, too, keep it in my box that I plan to take out on my trips.
