Windfinder calls for winds of 10-13 knots from the NW on Wed morning. Raptor and I fished there yesterday in similar winds from the S. We could not fish in certain locations becacuse of the wind and waves. You need to plan which areas you want to fish. Some areas fully exposed to the wind will be difficult or uncomfortable to fish -- others will be fine.

One of the great things about Goodhands Creek and the Narrows is the variety of habitats and types of wind shelter where you can fish. Start with a plan and be prepared to modify it to match local conditions.

Thanks John, I appreciate the heads. I'll take a look at the map and see where will be best to go.

EMSer, I'm going to try and be at the ramp by 0700. It's about an hour plus drive for me. I also have to stop at anglers to get a permit.

I saw the same thing on Winfinder. I may opt to wait until Thursday and do my Honey-Do stuff tomorrow. I will be there around 7 if I choose Wednesday. Do you have a radio? I usually am on channel 68

Tweaked my back a bit today and will not be going out tomorrow. Hope to head out Thursday. Sorry I will miss fishing with you. Good luck!

No problem. I put a new exhaust on my truck tonight took a lot longer than I thought, I hope I can get up in time myself.

I had a pretty decent day, I got on the water a little late (0730). Had a bunch of bites right off the bat but no hook ups. Finally got a couple schoolie striper, the largest was 16". The total for day was about 6 striper from 6"-16", about 5 perch and one snagged CNR. The winds where calm the whole time, I came off the water around 11:00.

Never made it out to the island, they where all off points along the shore line.

                        Congrats on your catches.

Good to hear the stripers are returning to their familiar Goodhands haunts.

That bodes well for future visits in the coming weeks.
