Registration is open! This year is exciting, we have big sponsor involvement from Huk Performance Gear as well as Shimano, Yeti, Hookedup Network (this forum), Starbrite, Chesapeake Brewing Co, Annapolis Boat Sales, LL Bean, Costa de Mar, and Shore Tackle. Be sure and visit all these vendors and others inside Vendor Village at this Tournament at Somers Cove Marina. Any vendors interestd in exhibiting in vendor village, please contact Rick Elyar at 410-977-3782, there are only a couple places left.

This years event includes more Species, The Crisfield Slam, catered meals on Fri evening and Sunday, and The big Line's Out Party Saturday evening with a Pig Roast & Live Music. Saturday's Vendor Village and Line's Party is open to the public with the purchase of a Line's Out only party ticket. Tickets will be available at the Captains Meeting Friday Evening and before the Lines Out Party Saturday.

I like the new rules and expanded species and really want to join again this year, but work and house guests are conspiring against me that weekend. I guess it's time to scheme up a plan for how to ditch the visiting guests while also calling out "sick" from work and getting somebody to cover for me.... hmmmmmm

Less than a month to go and local caterer, Billie Chandler, has the Menu set for Tournament weekend!

Friday evenings Check-In and Anglers Meeting will feature a buffet of Crabballs, fantail shrimp, steamship beef, string beans, chive and cheddar potatoes, toss salad and dressing, cookies and brownies.

Saturday's Line's Out party (open to public with $25 ticket, tickets on sale at the event) will feature Live Music and a Pig Roast that also includes crab dip, baked beans, corn bread, macaroni salad, cole slaw, Smith Island Cakes

Sunday's Award Presentation will feature Wing Dings, Salad, Hot sauce and Dressing, Stuffed Chicken, Baked Potatoes with a fixing bar, vegetable medley, assortment of cakes and pies

Tony emailed me back. Here is his reply for anyone wondering.

"Hey! Hope all is well.
Take a look at the rules. The tournament has changed quite a bit. We are providing food for Friday night, Saturday afternoon, and sunday. Had to do registration by individual rather than boat/kayak . We are offering a heck of a lot.. it is still a great deal. Just more organized and more activities."

Yeah it was awesome! That red was some fun pulling up. I thought I was going to run out of line, haha.
The kayak team did really well on the reds! Nice job guys. All around it was a blast with all the food and camaraderie.
