I just got my first kayak a few weeks ago and have gone out on a few trial runs in the bay. I've got got it pretty well geared up now and want to try to actually catch some fish in the morning. I live in southern Anne Arundel and would love to get into some Bass. Any suggestions on some spots to try out.

The reservoirs hold bass or the rivers in the upper bay have plenty, like Middle River and north.

Decided to hit Rocky gorge this morning, Caught my first Bass from my kayak along with a few others. All in all was a great morning for me. 20150815_074237.jpg

For fresh water I have been using artificial. Top water poppers in the morning and jigging soft plastics near cover later in the day. Have been trying a few crank baits to

I launched last week end at rocky gorge reservoir. It was a nice quiet spot. Check out the app launch sites it has helped me find some good spots
