  • kayak Bow lights.. (Red and green)

Can anyone recommend a Bow light for my Hobie PA?? Or a tip on the best one to install. I've seen battery operated ones that clip onto the handle but they seem pricier than something hardwired to a 12 v battery. I find I'm fishing earlier in the day and later in the evening. .. All suggestions welcomed.
    Thanks

I got one of the cheap battery powered ones and attached it to a 1' length of pvc. With a little bit of gorilla tape at the bottom of the pipe, it's a perfect snug fit in the sailing mast hole. I've had it for several years and it's still getting the job done.

Also note that you should only be using these lights if your kayak is running on a motor.

He's right you only need a 360 white light.

I must've misunderstood the regs. Thanks Mike and Ryan. So.... nevermind. I don't need the light. Thanks everyone. Rusted Angler... I already have the supernova lights on my deck but may be putting them on the external part of my yak

Don't get that light you will be expected to follow the rule of the road/water and you are moving so slow that's not going to happen. just do the 360 lamp

I put these on the front of mine. They are very bright and LED so should be good on battery life. I rigged it up to an adapter that can be bought at radio shack and hold 8 AA batteries. It has a peel and stick backing which has held up just fine.

I also purchased some 360 light with suction cup but PA surface is too bumpy for it to stick.
