Back-to-Back-to-Back Hookups

Had a good time pulling these guys out tonight at Occoquan.

Caught in order...

20 3/4 inch largemouth
25 inch channel catfish
17 3/4 inch largemouth
18 3/4 inch largemouth

...within about 30 minutes of each other. Much of the time was spent fighting two fish at once.

Were you on the river or the reservoir? Those are some of the bigger fish I've seen pulled from there. Nice catch! Whatever you're doing is obviously working.

I put in the reservoir at Fountainhead.

There was some kind of special recreational event which drew a lot of people. Usually I'll see a handful of boaters/kayakers during the day, but there were probably a few hundred people on the water. When there are people watching I'm twice as likely to make a bad cast into a tree, and half as likely to hook a fish, so I tend to avoid the crowds. For once in my life it was fun to be the guy pulling huge fish out of the water while people nearby are cheering.

Hahahahaa that's awesome. You give them the tournament fish grab where you pull them out of the water and raise it high in the air? I would have. I can see it in slow motion already
