Potomac Smallies somewhere below Whites Ferry

Somewhat slow on the Potomac... somewhere below Whites Ferry- fished 8-11 AM. First 16 incher on AM surface bite (Pop-R)- second 16 incher on wacky Senko... Pulled a lot of drag- lots of fun. Several smaller fish as well. Saw a lot of big fish. A few other fisherman did not seem to be catching anything... Just a great fishery and such a nice river to kayak fish!. Its been hot lately- I think the action will be really good end of this month!-

Fished on the Potomac west of you yesterday took a commander 120 out for the maiden voyage. It was on fire. Two of us caught 15 over 12 which were all released. My friend caught one that was 18. I left the outback at home because the river was so low. Had a blast.
