  • M&G oft 10th

Ok we are scheduled for a M&G on October 10th at Ft. Smallwood fishing the patapsco. Now, I just saw the post. From Redfish12 for the 1st Annual CCA MD Baltimore Chapter Roctober Cup - October 10th

    http://www.snaggedline.com/showthrea...p-October-10th

That being said not sure if I want to do M&G with that event going on where members might want to support CCA not to mention the additional boat traffic for the event.

I am asking if anyone is interested in M&G or go with CCA. I need feed back soon or I will cancel M&G due to the arrangements for a place to eat and such.

Please let me know what you would like to do.

    Thanks,
    Harry

    Harry,

I would attend the Ft Smallwood M&G if you decide to go forth. (Actually, kayakers could do both events simultaneously if they wanted.)

Even though Saturday's check-in for the CCA event is in Baltimore, the tournament rules say all tidal waters in Maryland are in play. That suggests to me that competing power boats will probably not be concentrated near Ft. Smallwood but will be well dispersed in the mid and upper Bay regions.

The event will be held at Anne Arundel County, Ft. Smallwood Park: http://www.aacounty.org/RecParks/parks/ftsmallwood/
The park opens at 7 am so I plan to be there at gate opening. There is a fee of Daily Vehicle Parking Fee of $6.00 per vehicle except Service Connected: Free per vehicle
(Military Individuals, Veterans and their Families - Service connected I.D. required)

I will book tables at Fifers Seafood located about 5 mins from the park at 8894 Fort Smallwood Road, Pasadena, MD 21122

I will need a head count of anyone who will be wanting to have lunch at Fifers after the M&G so they can reserve the appropriate number of tables, their food is great, here is a link to their menu http://fifersseafood.com/menu.html

When you enter Fort Smallwood Park follow the road to the right. You'll come to a crossroad. The white concrete remnant of the fort will be to your left. Turn right and follow the kayak launch sign to the beach. It's a short haul from the parking area to the actual launch beach.

The park gate keeper will ask your name and record your car license number before allowing you to proceed.

I would like to attend the M&G 10/10; and the luncheon.
No wet/dry suit - are regular clothes sufficient for October?

I would need some "go hither" advice since my FF must wait for spring.
                        Best to all.

Count me in. I've been looking forward to fishing this area with a few pro's.

I've never fished this area. What can be expected?
