Anybody using a Garmin Echo Map 44dv?

Looking at gps/sonar units for my yak. The Garmin 44dv looks nice. Anybody using one? What do you think of it? I have used Lowrance on my last 3 boats, want to try something different. I hear Garmin has real customer service unlike Lowrance.

I have used one for the last 5 months and I love it. The screen is clear, the maps excellent and the interface (mostly) intuitive

I have had one for about 4 months. No issues, plus I love it. Screen is large and handles the direct sun. I shopped and compared for at least 60 days before pulling the trigger. I had a few users and salesmen all tell me the same thing, the Lowrance is almost equal, but they all preferred the Garmin. One thing I did find, Lowrance will allow discounts on their units occasionally but I never found a true discount or sale on the EchoMap 44dv.
