  • I found a paddle....

I put in yesterday at the pump station off of 222 just past the VFW in Port Deposit. I got to the launch around 3 pm. As I was prepping I saw a guy and younger woman putting a kayak on a pick up with Pennsylvania plates. I wish I had more detail but I really had no reason to pay attention to them. They drove off and I finished rigging up. I backed down to the launch and saw the paddle laying on the dock. It had to be the people that just left. I leaned it up against the side of my truck after parking in a spot that anyone returning would have seen. I left a note on the paddle that said "You left this on the dock". I fished until dark and when I returned the paddle was still there. I have it in my garage now. I would love to return it to the rightful owner. Spread the word please. Tell me about the paddle to claim it. It is brand new, still has stickers on it. I came home and wrote my name and cell phone number on the blades of my paddle.

I lost a paddle at CBKA but there is no way my Hobie paddle floated that far

That's where I usually launch from. I don't remember seeing that vehicle the last time I was out, but I'll ask around next time I go out. I set my gear on that dock when I load and unload the kayak and it's really easy to forget something when you do that. I encourage you to share a post on the Facebook page for the susquehanna river fishing club to help find the owner of the paddle. A lot of kayakers follow that page.

        Jayce,
I put it on Fishing Maryland, Susquehanna River Fishing Club and Craigslist. I looked up the paddle, it retails for $50 so it is not tragic but I would love to get it back to the rightful owner. Keep asking around. From what I remember the kayak they loaded up was a blue/black camo pattern but that is all I remember. I think it was a dark green ford pick up with a cap and PA plates.
