I'd increase the length of the trailers so they're not so close to the teasers. I'd also make them just a little bit bigger than the teasers as well. Don't be afraid to run just one half of your set up either. It'll work very well. They way it is may spin so just make sure there's a swivel. Great idea though of combining a bunch of stuff into a good looking rig. Go get 'em man!
    Alan,

I appreciate the feedback. I stole the double up idea from a previous post by mweber02.

Does the impact of a shorter trailer crowd the bite and make it potentially confusing the bass on which to bite? I started with the trailer being longer but shortened it for fear of the tangling with each other. Being a paddle guy, I don't have the benefit of constant forward motion.

While the teaser are on bucktails I kept them smaller intentionally because I was worried too much weight would just plummet to the bottom if I slowed down too much. If it is still too heavy, I will definitely run half the rig and lengthen the trailer.

How do you think it would work with an XRAP?

Everything has swivels and should move freely. Gonna try it from a new launch on the Magothy tomorrow

If the trailer is too close, I think you'll find the fish biting the wrong one.
I've seen guys use xraps as the trailer and it actually does work. It get's to be a really expensive rig, but it does do the trick.
With any rig you're trying, give it a chance to work. You will almost certainly need to find out how deep it runs at different line lengths, and which is the best for each time of year, so don't give up on it. It'll be a great bait once you hone it in.

I used to use them for a while. Then I stopped using them. I didn't see that much difference. For stripers, I used a tandem rig for two different colors of lures. A tandem rig with two different colors of lures was better for me. I learned the color stripers preferred.

This is very similar to the rig I described. The only difference is that my Boo Rigs are the ones Jhoss posted on the 1st page of this thread.. The shorter arms work well with the double up splitter. I did find this weekend that the double up bar can be flexed to open up more. I opened mine as wide as possible and would definitely recommend that with as wide as your teasers get.

I haven't gotten around to measuring the actual amount of line I let out, but when I count how many times the line crosses my bait caster spool back and forth. With 8-10 passes I estimate my rigs run around 5-6' trolling around 3mph. I'd guess that your rig will run a little bit higher with the all of the paddle tails if all else is equal.

I fished the rig this morning and quickly determined that the double rig was a bit much with all the paddle tails. I split it up and had mediocre success. I got 3 fish but my fishing partners got many more. I need to play more with speed and depth. I will play more with it tomorrow
