Has anyone ever fished liberty if so how what time of day and what was your catch?

    have not fished it

I havent fished liberty because the state of maryland rapes anyone that want to fish there due to the 60.00 fee per year. You also have to sign a waiver stating that you wont fish in other waters due the zebra mussles. have a great day and welcome

Fished it from shore a few times with varying success. Never fished from a boat mainly because of the regs mentioned above. Supposed to sign an affidavit saying your boat will only be used in Liberty, Loch Raven or Pretty Boy and has never been anywhere else. There was a pretty good thread covering it a while back. Got some decent bass both large and smallmouth and a few decent gills the times I have caught fish. Stripers, crappies, white and yellow perch, walleye, warmouth, carp and cats are also present. Good fishin

It's not the state of MD ........ it's Balto City DPW ........ the restrictions and fee discourage many .......... the limited access gives you almost an exclusive fishing hole with great fishing if you take the time to learn it ....... never a backup at the ramp always a place to park and one of the most beautiful and peaceful lakes you will ever see ......... watch geese, beaver, deer, turkey, fox, eagles.etc etc etc ......... stripers with out sores ........

Use to fish it years ago for bass and stripers, trout and crappies ......... best times for me was evening ........... but you could catch them all day if you know the spots. Early fish shore lines with drop offs and flats ......... mid day deep ......... find the structure ........... use to slow troll large shiners for stripers .......... small crappie and trout were the best baits though ...... just don't get caught using them for bait ........

Also, you can't fish from your kayak there.

I think you can with a Pro Angler because it's 38" wide and classified as a small boat by Hobie ........ regs say something about being 35" wide min

Fishing out of a kayak is currently allowed in Liberty reservoir. The only requirement (besides city permit) is that it must be at least 12ft long. Link to regulations is below. Check page 8, 3rd bullet in section 'Methods of Fishing'.
