I played sick Thursday to take advantage of the calm winds and awesome weather on the forecast. Unfortunately the fog ended up quite thick so I was flying blind for much of the day....I had to really work the charts to figure out where I was going. Fish seemed to be spread out all over the place. Choke points and areas with structure near shallow/deep transition areas seemed to produce a better grade of fish. I ended up with several nice fish in the 22 inch range and then chased birds and schoolies for a while...lost count of em'. So many fish out there. Everything from 8 to 17 inches under the birds. On the high tide I found not one but two 25's (gotta circle back over a spot if you get one) hanging in potholes on a big flat using an unlikely shallow water bait-the Chesapeake rig -thanks Alan Battista. (I did have my doubts, but today it worked really well) Another great day of fall fishing on the P'tapseeco'!
