  • Licensure for Guided Tours?

Does anyone know what kind of guide license, if any would you need to do kayak fishing tours?

I'm only familiar with Guide Licenses for Charter boats.

I'm thinking you wouldn't need anything if all individuals have their own fishing license?

Just curious because we have had a few people ask about getting a guided fishing trip at our kayak rental business.

    Thanks for any info!!

The place that is looking to start up guided trips is Paddle House Outfitters... that new shop you pass by on RT50 before OC. They are looken to start something up with guided tours on the eastern shore. But I guess they could book for all over. I told them I couldn't really do it cause I'll be back at school and during the summer I already have my job to worry about.

But you should contact them and try and set something up!

Three boats no more then 2 people per boat, have to have current MD fishing license, up to date American Red Cross CPR and First Aid course.
