  • Fun Day at Trap Pond

Buddy of mine bought a Predator 13 off a fellow snagged liner this morning so we decided to take his maiden voyage on Trap Pond. Had the whole pond to our selfs and had a blast. Pickerel were smashing cranks baits today. Wishing we had of signed up for the Pickerel challenge.

Looks like a great way to break in a new boat!! Those are some pretty fish.

I caught my very first pickerel in Trap Pond a long time ago.

      Nice catches.

Nice ones! They look like they're fattening up for the cold weather.

He was a monster. My buddy caught him towards the end of the day but forgot his trough so I snapped a pic for him. I didn't expect there to be so many in Trap Pond, my goal was to catch at least one pickerel and ended up having an awesome day of pickerel fishing. Caught two smallies and a perch but the pickerels made the day.

Here's one I got at Trap Pond last spring during an OGWLF outing there:

                A1.jpg

It hit a fly rod popper.

Looks like my pickerel might now be in the belly of the one in your first photo!
