Roaches Run 12/6/2015

Fished Roaches Run (near Reagan National Airport) Sunday 12/6. Just used small jigs and plastics, hoping for crappie/perch. Managed to catch a lot of small bass and yellow perch in shallow areas close to shore. Caught probably 20 of each. 3 yellow perch were 10 inches. 2 bass were around 12 inches. Everything else was pretty much 4-10 inches long. Did not fish the warm water discharge area due to some shore fishermen in the area. Picture is of the biggest bass. Not a bad day for December!

Nice! I fished from Gravely Sunday night. Didn't catch anything, but one guy fishing right under the bridge pulled in a Striper on the fly.

Refreshing to see a fresh water report. Winter bass are always a bonus.
