From those of you who read my Romancoke July 4th Threat about getting a $50 ticket, this issue has been pleasantly solved. I could not believe how nice the lady at the Queen Anne's County Parks and Public Landings was. She was a sweetheart. I explained to her that I got this ticket because their machine at the Romancoke Pier was broken and the instructions that was left on the machine was to pay the attendant, but there was no attendant. So i had planned just to pay when I got off the water, since I assumed an attendant would be there by then.
Well, the nice lady just told me to send in a check for the $10 fee and the ticket would be voided....! Yeah. But then we got to talking about kayaking in the county and I told her that I was going to buy a yearly $35 pass this weekend. So she then told me that when I get the pass, just call her with the pass number and my $50 would be voided. That is Queen Anne County Service with a smile for you. Needless to say, I am pleased and impressed.
