I would call that a winning year for anyone. Nicely done!

Let's see your biggest 2015 fish!

Since I see a couple boat pictures I will throw this out there. We spent the majority of summer fishing out of a boat in the bay and ocean up to about 30 miles out. We spent several weeks concentrating on sharks. Here's one of the larger ones we successfully released. This ones about 5 1/2 feet. Biggest we released was 6 1/2 but I have no good pictures of it. I hooked two of them I couldn't do anything with using 65# line. Unfortunately we never saw those.

Biggest fish out of a kayak this year was a blue at Cape Henlopen. Don't know which one as they averaged around 36".

I also caught an angel shark, false albacore and a squid. All were firsts for me.

I caught a lot of great fish this year but the two that stand out are these two which were both caught in NJ. The drum was from the DE bay on a rainy and cold day in May and the bass was from a warm, bluebird day in late November. The bass measured 46.5" and 40.5 lbs and the drum I estimated to be around 60 lbs. Looking to upgrade both of these in 2016!

My biggest for 2015 was a rockfish about 22-24in long. I didn't get my kayak and start fishing until late June. Until this year, I had only been out fishing once in the past 5-6 years. The last year I was really out fishing often was when I was a sophomore in high school, which was 9 years ago. I graduated from college in May and the yak was my graduation present. My 2015 season was all about getting back to fishing and learning how to do everything myself, instead of my dad doing everything for me like he would when I was a kid. From spooling reels to rigging lines I have come a long way this season. I'm ready to hit 2016 with a full head of steam. My goal for 2016 is to catch a striper that's 30 inches or more.

                        BlackTip.jpg

My biggest last year was a 3.5' Blacktip Shark.

New Species from the Kayak last year were SM Bass, Crappie, Houndfish, Lizardfish, Rockfish, White Perch, Channel Catfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. I've caught most of these species from a PB but they don't count.

Not a great year for big fish for me but that just gives me motivation to make 2016 the best ever!

                          biggest largemouth:

biggest smallmouth (Upper Potomac and Susquehanna):

for a couple of seconds I thought I had a monster largemouth:

one of the few I have ever got into the kayak:

                          caught and released:
