Anyone used Power Pro Depth Hunter metered braided line? It's a different color every 25' and then has a black tick mark every 5'. I'm thinking it might be a good tool for determining lure depth in lieu of a built-in line counter.

never tried it, let me know how it works out. And if it is the same weave as the regular power pro. i use power pro's super slick and seaguar smackdown braid. i normally just estimate how much line i have out depending on certain circumstancesNative Watercraft Pro Staff

I've used it for jigging deep water offshore and it worked out well. The captain would yell out the number of colors based on the marks on the fish finder and it put us right in the strike zone. I've also used the tuffline version which changes every 10ft but found it was too many colors to count. I think if I was trolling from the kayak more it'd probably be the way to go since you could dial it in a little better than the 25ft power pro. Plus, it's way cheaper.Used to fish more.

Great idea. I use line counter reels but this is another great way of presenting a lure precisely. Thanks for sharing.
