  • Open Launches?

I'm curious if anyone knows if any of the launches in the Baltimore area are open yet?
I'd like to think someone on the road crews is a fisherman and went ahead a plowed for us...but I realize I may be overly optimistic...

Mariner point is open, might be a bit of a slog to the water...problem is lots of the shallower water+coves are still frozen up

Once hunting season is over, I have no use for winter. The pic of Mariner Point is depressing. How many days until spring?

Looked like a good bit of slush when I drove over it, but didn't see any significant ice.

HdG. The river is not frozen, the ramps and parking is not plowed as of today. Not sure when the melt will reach the dam. Good news is you will not need wheels to launch. You can pull the yak over the snow pac.

thanks for keeping us southerners in the loop. We are planning a trip for saturday, depending on how the ramps are. I called Herbs tackle shop and he has minnows. anybody else going up there saturday?

I drive 695, 95 or 895 every day and there's ice all over the rivers and creeks at all those locations. I can't see the launches but things don't look very fishable as of this morning. A lot will depend on the wind where those ice fields move. Be careful! You can get trapped....not that I know anything about that!
