Thinking about going down to the spot this Saturday in the morning. Not completely sure yet, my friend is in town and we usually fish when he is, so I figured why not. If we do go, I will post my results. I've been 0 for 3 this February so anything would be nice, though I can't remember the last February where I fished 3 times, so that's nice in itself.

Well.add you to the list PatOriginally posted by Pat Smith View PostLooks like I am in. I had a splash top and hip waders, just picked up a base layer so I am all set clothes wise. Not sure if I will be able to get my new kayak registered by then so I might be in my Moken, which is ok too. Probably will leave the motor at home, doesn't look like a TON of paddling.. at least not like when we launched out of St. Michaels that one time.
Probably will do chicken livers in panty hose on 7 hooks, 20lb mono leaders. Will try to get some kind of float to pick one of the hooks off the ground.
Saw a video where someone used corn once, he was killing it too.
Also my son will be joining which should be fun

The bottom is relatively snaggless here, though it does vary. My favorite spot has a hard sand bottom.
I think you should bring a variety of hook sizes since this area holds channel and white catfish too and I often size down of i start @ looking baits. Againsome guys use heavier stuff but I just use my usual rockfish stuff.....30lb braid with 20lb leader

im planning on bringing frozen shad, crawlers, and probably livers just bc its cheap.. I have 6 frozen trout heads I would like to use but still trying to find out if its legal or not there., also what lb lines are you guys using, how is the bottom where we will generally be fishing.. currently my rods setup with 65lb braid and an 80lb mono leader with a 3oz egg sinker and 8/0 hook.. but I can easily adapt that .... im not familiar with area so if I need to drop my leader significantly I have no qualms with it
