Never had a bearing issue on my boat trailers but I suspect that's because every year I'd jack up one side, then the other, and remove, clean, repack with grease and reinstall every thing.

It's gotta be a real bad feeling to have to go off and leave your boat sitting on the side of the road when a wheel bearing locks up or self destructs.

Same goes for the tires, look them over good. I'll bet more boat trailer tires are replaced for weather cracking than for lack of tread. And inspect that spare, too!
