  • ForEverlast G2 Pro Stringer

I need help with a new stringer. My old Berkley chain got too rusty to be useful last season.

So I'm looking at the ForEverlast G2 Pro Stringer. Found it for $17 at Academy. It's rubber coated cord with a brass spike at each end and a float.
But how do you use it? How do you keep the fish from falling off?

My guess is you slide the fish on to the stringer from the open end. The float would keep them from falling off. Then just secure the open end to you or the boat.

I was looking into these stringers recently and a lot of folks say the Everlast tubing doesn't last. I ended up getting a stinkypants stringer

Scroll down on this page and check out the "kayak quick release" pic. Seems nifty enough. That fitting is what the rear bungees run through in my Wilderness. Figure I can mount one on side opposite of my trolley and Ill be good to go

But the stinky pants works the same way. That float will keep your catch flopping sideways on the surface. Right?
