......... Actually that looks like it could have been a Md record for hook and line. Did you get any measurements ........... Actually .......... Probably not because you take special care to get them back in the water quickly and unharmed ...........

I know it is a trick of the camera but it looks to be the same size as you...say 6 feet and 200lbs. I guess that beats my personal best of 22 inches

Here's a still from the video of me pulling it out of the water. It gives another perspective on the size of the thing. The lure in it's mouth is 6-7" long and spans the opening, which will give a pretty good idea that it can eat one of those huge gizzard shads out there.

Damn that's awesome!!! Just in awe. Congratulations. Even if it's not recognized for the books that's one few will match. And to release shows a lot of character on your part. Again, congratulations.

                            Alan,

Did you ever say what bait you caught her on? I may have missed it as my mind was trying to comprehend that fish....

It was a Daiwa Minnow. I actually bought it from Grilled at the kayak flea market a couple of years ago. He was so fed up with losing fish on it I think he had to sell it. I lose a lot of fish on it too for whatever reason. I don't get it.
