The weekend boat crowding of the bb would be annoying

I am not sure, but I think SurfDog was recommending Breezy Point or Chesapeake Beach. My memory is fuzzy on that one.

I'm up for Bay Bridge, but it would have to be either very early morning or late evening to dodge most of the boat traffic.

The other concern with the bay bridge is the tournament is the next month on September 10th, so we were thinking maybe we shouldn't repeat the same location two months in a row.

If the going is fun, I'd go again in Sept. Bay Bridge.

Chesapeake Beach would be my next choice as long as some of you know good fishing spots. I've tried there a few times so far but skunked.

id love to see if Pinch can survive another flounder trip. How many boats do you have?? I've also heard there are some trout on Hooper Island in August...which I hear has some good launches.

Would the boat traffic be much less on a Friday? Would Friday be a popular choice for the M&G?

OC is a less open waterway, and channels are a lot smaller and boats are usually all over fishing, so I have found that for the most part passing boats aren't full throttle and can't really drive around too fast, except for maybe inside the actual inlet running out to ocean.

personally, i would love to target other species. striper fishing is fun but I would love to catch some sheephead, cobia etc.

i know its a bit further, but what about CBBT?

How about some Delaware of Jersey Flounder ........... not much more of a drive than the 2 hours to Mattawoman or PLO and they catch alot of fish .......

We do the local stuff all the time ........ I think the M&G's should be to new places to expand our options ........

I LOVED the Mattawoman snakehead hunt ........ first time to that ramp and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the water and the fishing .......

i'm hearing good things about flounder down at taylors isl. campground. they have a good launch beach and the fishing is outstanding. going to check it out in a couple weeks

called them earler and no beach to launch from but they have a ramp, tent camping is primitive and only 6 sites for tents, maybe CHSP is a better idea either way 45 min from BB depending on traffic
