I'm not sure if this effects anyone on here as I think I was one of the original members to be torqeedo powered and you all probably have the newer models, but just in case...
There is a recall on Torqeedo batteries for the Ultralight 402, which is the same battery used for the Evolve motors. If you purchased before June 2010, your battery may be included. Apparently, this recall has been out for a while, but I just found out randomly googling about my motor. Anyways, you can ship them your battery and they'll send you a new one free of charge! I have not made it through the process yet. So far, I received the UPS label to ship my old battery back. I'll keep you all up to date how it all goes.
