  • Overnight parking- Kent Isl area?

Hey- new guy here, I'm lookin for some local knowledge on a place to launch (for a non-resident) and leave a vehicle for a couple or three days. Looking to start in the Chester River/Kent Isl area.

Tnx in advance for any help/ suggestions!

Welcome Renegade. There's a Queen Anne's Co launch right under the west side of the Rt. 50 Kent Island bridge. For a non-resident (I am also a non-resident), I believe it's $10 or $15 bucks a day. You buy a sticker for a particular day, and there may also be weekly option that could be less expensive for a three day period. Stop at Chesapeake Outdoors (can't miss it, it' slight off Rt. 50 in Kent Island) and they'll give you the skinny.

Be sure to ask if it's legal to keep your car there overnight, even if you do have the stickers. Good luck!

Also, if you launch there at Rt. 50 at Kent Narrows, be advised that the current really rips through there. There's a more manageable launch at Good Hands Creek, not far from there.
