AA County FY 2017 Budget Support for Water Access
County Executive Steve Schuh has submitted his FY 17 (July 1, 2016 thru June 30, 2017) budget to the County Council. The Council will consider the proposal and adopt a final budget by the end of May.
The County Executive’s budget includes essential funding to continue improving public access to the Chesapeake & its tributaries in Anne Arundel County.
The plan continues funding for improvements at existing County waterfront parks. boat ramps, swimming facilities and 4 new recreation and parks employees to supervise and maintain these improvements. In addition, the budget provides for leasing land at Discovery Village in Shadyside for a boat ramp. Details and documents can be found at:

It is most important that Council members hear from you that you value water access and support this funding.
