Red Dot on The Ocean... must see...

Sometimes... well.. just by chance... when life sucks... something comes across your bow... and picks you up...
and gives you a little push.

An amazing journey by an Annapolis sailor and group of people who supported him....

The first person to sail alone and nonstop around North and South America. (and it's not too much bigger than two Hobie's) a local hero !

At one point... very hungry... a group of Mahi came to the boat... as he knew Mahi mate for life.. he chose not to kill one.

Saw this also, can not imagine spending that much time alone, and at sea. He sure turned his life around. A must see documentary.

Matt spoke at the Miles River Yacht Club at St. Micheals this spring. He was both inspiring and harks back to the early explorers. He is trying to raise money to conduct ocean research off of sailing vessels to reduce the cost or research and sampling. If you ever get a chance to meet him or hear him speak you will not be sorry.
