Turned out great. Great company, great food, great weather finally and plenty of fish to be had. Big thanks to Rich and Tracy for hosting a wonderful M&G.
Ned rigs were the ticket for me today. Kept the fish biting when other tried and true lures weren't doing the trick. My first time fishing with them. They were surprisingly snag free for fishing the Potomac. Had few get hung up but I'd guess a good bit less than when using a tube. Most of my fish were 7-10" with maybe three or so of a little better size. Tried Gulp leeches which are supposedly good for smallmouth and found that the catfish seem to love them more than the bass. Did have a few hits on them that I think were bass but they ripped the leech right of the hook with no hookup.
Some pictures of the crew and river.

It was an unbelievable cool low humidity day on the river.Fish were super cooperative mostly on green Ned rigs .Most fish 10 12 inchers but a few 14 16 inchers caught .River was faster than I preferred for some special spots hard to hold position even with a drag chain. Most areas however were super. Everyone looks forward to doing again.
