Headed down to OBX with the family next week. Debating if I should take my yak or just fish a bit from the beach. It's not the best time of year for fishing OBX. . . Give a shout if anyone has tips. I will be north this time -- between Corolla and Duck, so Currituck Sound or Oregon Inlet are options. I see from the early part of the thread there was some good puppy drum fishing in July previously. Thanks.Michael

It's a great time of year actually. Puppy drum are heating up in the sound and surf, there's striper in the sound too as well as flounder, and cobia along the beaches. See TWs tackle for reports.
