Launching at G-Dock...Starring Pinch

Here's Pinch showing just how easy it is to get your kayk in and out of the water at G-dock. This really is easy. I recommend tying the kayak to a deck cleat as the first step when putting in or taking out. With Hobie kayaks this launch is really nice because you can make way right up to the dock with peddles and rudder down. Just remember to take the peddles out (put on deck) and lift your rudder before you pull the yak out. I easily pull a fully loaded kayak out. I also have no problem loading the kayak on the dock before I drop it in the water.

Thanks for the video. Although i was hoping for video of pinch's over the shoulder drop launch. I heard it was a good one.

All kidding aside once you get the yak in the water are you pulling it to the ladder to board it or dropping down into the kayak from there? I'm a tad north of 250lbs and a two foot step down into a kayak sounds like a wet experience for me.

There is a ladder at the end of the dock that you can gracefully step down. Jimbo has the right idea with the dock line. I need to remember one next time. It's an easy launch!

How do you actually get into the kayak? Step down, stand in it, then squat down into the seat? That could be funny when I try it.

Its not as hard as you would think i just kinda plop on, use the dock for support.
