surfdog said he was going sunday at 5:00 am . im going to tag along and try to learn a new way to fish. you can launch at the public landing , it cost 10 dollars a car or you can buy the county landing sticker.

Yep, it is easy to get there. Just plug in that address, but basically, after you cross the Bay Bridge, then that the first exit and make at Rt.8 to Romancoke. Follow it until it ends at the county pier. Get there early to avoid the heat. The better bites would be in the morning or late afternoon.

the fishing im used to is skinny water, its only 3 feet deep mostly. it has deeper spots but the current is very fast and you cant bottom fish. its mostly lures , but sum guys drag a small perch a foot or so under a bobber . oh yea , i allmost forgot about the rocks ! you cant go but maybe 50 feet without having to go around one .

Thats what I usually fish. Fresh water streams, fast flowing and lots to hit. I am heading to Bass Pro now to pickup a License and a bilge just in case I decide to fill my kayak with water. Downside to a sit in

romancoke is only at most 20 minutes from JGP when u go early. anglers opens at 5 if you need rigs and bait. had a great time today mytmouse, metroman, tucked in and tufnick came out and got into croakers, spot, wp. some of the croakers were very nice! i hooked into 2 stripers, one came unbuttoned at the boat and wrapped my rig around my other rod what a mess getting that untangled, soon as i did my other rod went off with the other rock that ones in my frig. both about the same size at 24". not really too hot in the morning and a good breeze from the NW but by 11 it was getting hot

bws were the hot bait for croakers and i caught the rock on shrimp and a wp belly, also got a nice croaker using peeler crab, heading back in the morning. see you

Very nice thanks for the info. Pardon the dumb question but what is a bws and wp? I am looking forward to meeting all of you tomorrow. I may be there closer to the 530 mark so if you are out already I will have to track you down. Hopefully you should be easy to spot
