I just want to thank Coop1486 for inviting me for having a fish fry and crab feast. Coop has done this before for kayakers that he fishes with often. 8 of us met Coop at the entrance outside of his employer's estate at 7:30AM. He escorted us into the grounds. We dropped of all of our cookout gear at a large open air garage that Coop prepared with views of the water. From there we went to the launch site on the property where were launched in search of perch. I kept about a dozen perch for the fish fry. Most of the perch that I caught were on a Grady Rig (Beetle spin) 1/8th ounce in 2.5 to 5 feet of water. Between all of us we had a 25 quart cooler almost filled to the top with white perch. Several of us filleted the perch in record time. The late lunch was good, with lots of delicious dishes. The weather held up with no rain. Coop had two large fan blowing air in the open garage while we ate, fried perch, steamed blue crabs, chips, corn, fruit, potato salad, pesto shrimp, and shrimp salad. Thanks again Coop, a good time was had by all.
