I got 89.0 degrees on my FF yesterday at Bretton Bay and thought it was a mistake, I had to ask Big Mike what was he getting at Fishinggod's (Rich's) house near ST Jerome's Creek??
We had 85-86 degree water at Crisfield on high tide- Saturday morning- I noticed the shallower water was warmer than the deeper water by almost a full degree- St. J's Creek is 5-6' deep in most places- lot shallower in others- Kevin- was this temp taken at low tide or high?

Yesterday I launched at Carr's Wharf, paddled down the Rhode and went to Beverly Triton. The highest temp I read on my FF was 88.8. Is this normal or is this an unusually hot summer as far as the bay temp? I have been yak fishing since last October and with electronics since January so actually knowing the water temp is a new thing for me. Crazy warm!

Gotta remember we have had a string of 90 (+) degree days with heat indexes well over 100 degrees- the combination of heat, bright sun, no rain and shallow water will heat up the Bay quickly- a good down pour will drop water temps just as quickly- we are at the end of Summer and the fall cool off is coming- water temps have probably peaked for 2016 already-

Back in July, on our second Hobie 1st Cast trip, we had 95 degrees in the shallows. It was miserably hot. Hottest I have ever seen the waters around Crisfield. Rough fishing.
