    I second that thought. While I paddled around a small state park lake in PA for the first time in 15 years this weekend all by myself, I was struck with an overwhelming sense of sadness as I passed a spot that I recognized as a place where I fish with my son and little girls and launched our canoe to fish with the kids. The youngest is a senior in high school now and my son is grown and married. The memories are beyond special, but those days are gone. Now I fish mostly with old guys.

    I will say that my spirits were lifted substantially with these catches:

    I was looking for dinner, but I wouldn't kill these.

    You will always have big fish, but your little ones only for a little while.
