Quasi failure....Take a kid fishing 2016

Took a kid fishing this Sat......she had won the trip at my school's fundraising auction. The rock were out at St Jerome's, but Late Sat morning, the clouds burned off and it was so bright that bite was off till the sun got low. We did find fish and they hit top water plugs, but the only one to stick was big enough to break my snap (she wanted to use ger own pole, which likely was too light for the task. So we went home rockless....trip was guaranteed so I'll have to reschedule. We'll try perch next time.....though she loves croaker best.
She had a good time, though, and thought it was fun having the fish knock her popper into the air. Her mom took an awesome pics....you can see a rockfish hitting my spook in the background in one of them.

Nice Post. I had to stare at the pictures for a long while figuring how the hell this girl can sit on your malibu kayak which is exactly what I have. I didn't realized until the 3rd picture that there are not one but two kayaks. Anyway it was really nice of you to take her out.

Lol....yeah the take are both the same color so they appear as one.
I tie her boat to mine by the stern so I can pull is together at times and kick her away at times. You can see me ducking in the pic where she is casting...lol

Good man, Kevin- and lots of patience- Bill, John, Yak 67 and I hit it today- with our usual results- Bill was the Flounder king with several near keepers...we slayed the rock...I caught two nice reds- near keepers...and a blue...
