I retired last January after 30 years working with water and industrial wastewater technologies and regulatory issues. For the past 20 years, I focused on the oil and gas and electric power industries. The week after I retired, I started a new consulting practice from my home focusing on water issues affecting the energy industries. My retirement consulting job allows me much more time for fishing, but still brings in some income. So far, so good.

I thought there may be some trends as to who is into kayak fishing and posting on forums, but so far it seems pretty random. Cool post Metro.

Looks like St. Mary's is well represented. I was an HVAC service/installation tech for about 8 years after highschool and was generally unhappy with my work-life balance and quality of life so I got out of doing that and went back to school full time. I'm attending CSM now but will be transferring out to complete a degree in either agriculture, forestry or wildlife biology. I'd love to find something in one of these industries here locally for some part time income.

I don't have a boat yet but maybe we can have a SOMD trip; Point Lookout maybe? I plan to get a boat over the winter, so maybe beginning of next year.
