Our Campsite. I stayed with yakscientist and my father-in-law Mike. The first night was perfect camping weather, but it progressively got colder each night thereafter. For some reason I was thinking mid-60s each night and neglected to pack any pants, socks, or sleeping bag. After the 2:30am party boat waking up the entire group I didn't sleep well Sat night. Friday was my best catching day, landed 3 nice flounder (biggest 24-1/2") and lost another at the boat. I also culled out a few sea robins and several short bluefish. P5190190.jpg
Stuffed flounder at my house tonight. P5210209.jpg
Day 2 & 3 I focused on catching a bass to complete the slam, but it wasn't until late Sunday that I finally hooked into one. Unfortunately I lost one at the boat that I estimate around 35", and had 3 other very strong takedowns live lining bunker. This was my 2nd year at JBay and I learned a lot this trip. I have confidence next year I can catch a bass and blues are never a problem. This year I lucked out on the fluke and found one spot that I caught all four keeper sized fish. Hopefully next year I can find the fluke again and submit my first slam entry.

Another Snaggedliner caught a 29" fluke before the tournament started. In addition I know of one decent weakfish that made the leaderboard in the electric division and Jimbo won a kayak!
Looks like Snaggedline was well represented- congratulations
