What size braid for new setup?

Sorry to hijack the thread but is the sustain worth the extra money than the stradic. I am considering getting one.

From what I have read, they are not. For the most in depth reviews, check out Alan Hawk's website, and read through all the ones that interest you. I am on there probably 3x a week, his level of detail is crazy. He also has a section called "lists" where he sorts the best reels he's reviewed by price (below 150, 150-250, etc.). The only problem is, he tends to only review spinning reels geared towards the offshore bunch (size 4000 and above), but there are a few ones on there that come in sizes that we use (1000-3000) like the Daiwa BG, stradic, etc.
