Trolling speed too slow

Caught my first turtle while trolling for specks and rock. Anybody ever caught one while trolling?

Congratulations.

I wasn't trolling but I snagged a painted turtle in the foot once while casting. It wasn't pleased, of course, and hissed at me while I removed the hook.

I hooked the end of the shell on a big snapping turtle about a month ago when shore fishing & a couple years ago I caught by hand a box turtle I saw swimming in the middle of the Honga River. I picked it up & paddled it to shore where I let it go.
