August M&G Beverly-Triton

Greetings and Salutations,
I'm looking at dates for the M&G as I need to drop an event request. Right now I'm planning for August 19th or 20th. Lunch will likely be at the Edgewater Cafe, which is a couple of miles away from the launch site. Parking is limited and yaks have to be dropped at the beach for launching. If anyone has any preferences, please let me know as I will drop the request this Thursday or July 5th. Stay tuned, more to follow!

OK, August M&G is on for August 19th at Beverly-Triton Beach 7am Launch. Parking is a major issue so our permit states we need to be off the water by noon. Lunch will be at the Bayside Inn 1246 Central Ave, Edgewater 21037. The Menu is simple and the crabs are great. IMG_0151.jpg. If anyone needs directions to the beach -www.aacounty.org/locations-and-directions/beverly-triton-beach-park. The Rhode River and South River are all within easy paddle distance and Rockfish, White Perch, Bluefish, and anything else you can find should be present. Please let me know when you can if you will be attending.

Quick question, I noticed you needed a permit. Is this something new for the park? Are there changes for individuals launching or just groups.

There's a huge battle going on right now in the community with respect to the beach and public access to it. The permit is not a normal requirement and there are no changes for individual launches. I wanted to be courteous as our group will take up a lot of parking space and I wanted to make sure we could have some extended time for the launch. Look forward to seeing you there.

It has been a busy year for me this year, but I will try to make this one, so sign me up for both.

As of right now, I'm in for at least fishing. I am leaving for a very long vacation a few days after, so I doubt I will have much time after fishing for lunch. I will probably be packing and have plenty of chores. I will let you know if I can't make it, but as of right now, I'm excited. This will potentially be the last time I'm out on my kayak for about a month, maybe more.
